They discuss the key drivers for innovation in a sector vital for the transition to a more sustainable agri-food system as envisaged under the European Green Deal and the role of IP. Even though agriculture tends to be a critical issue in trade negotiations and despite the importance of intellectual property rights for the green transition, IP rights tend to attract far less attention in trade negotiations than other topics.
